Twenty-one years ago, due to his love of I.T., Dave Irvine started ICS. He began providing services and support as a sole proprietor for a dozen or so businesses. They were so impressed by his abilities that the word quickly spread about ICS, and the company naturally grew.
The key to Dave’s success was the complete trust our clients put in him to handle the life’s blood of their livelihood—Their technology. Over time, these dozen or so businesses expanded into a couple hundred, and a staff of employees who share Dave’s love of I.T.
Simply, to continue doing what we’re doing now—Diligently and attentively providing I.T. Services, Support and Solutions to keep our clients’ I.T. world running smoothly, and to overcome anything that stands in the our way to achieve this.
We will continue to forge new relationships with clients who seek our style of hands-on, interactive and personal business relationship. We plan for our growth to continue being slow, steady and intentional, to prevent backsliding, any regrets, or “forehead slapping,” that’s common for businesses that grow too fast, or let their clients influence their value — Or decide their values for them.
There are infinite ways to “do I.T.”— But if we always lean in towards our motivators as we carry out a mission, then the way we “do I.T.” will always result in more than a paycheck at the end of the day.
A large contributor to our menu of services is the set of motivational factors described above. We don’t try to be everything to everybody, because this would dilute the effectiveness of our team.
The world of I.T. is extremely broad. So we need to be true to our strengths. (e.g., If we forge a relationship behind the scenes to broaden our offerings, we have to be sure that the partnership is viable and reliable, and built upon the motivational factors that we value, both short and long term.)
We’ve learned over the last two decades that there are a lot of “drive-by” solution providers who leave a trail of destruction in their wake. Unlike them, we are extremely judicious when deciding the who’s, how’s, what’s and when’s of broadening our menu.
To describe why, we’d like to use music is a metaphor: “What makes one live band sound better than another?” So much depends upon style, taste, etc. There’s nothing black and white about this. When a band is tight, well rehearsed, well managed, and conscious of how they play and sound to their listeners… Well, let’s just say, you know it when you hear it. Our team strives to be tight and well rehearsed so that “when we take the stage” with your company, you’ll say, “Wow, this group is different! I can’t really put my finger on why, but they’re GREAT!”
These benefits are both measurable and immeasurable. The most obvious measurable benefits are increased productivity, and an enhanced bottom line/margin. Your employees will have smoothly running I.T. systems and processes, so you’ll experience these benefits when you get Managed I.T. Services from ICS. The math is pretty simple.
